A free-flowing creative workshop working on the beautiful substrate that is our own bodies; ‘DIY Face and Body Painting’ aims to bring out the festival spirit and the wild woman in anyone by encouraging soulful, experimental, and vivacious personal expression on the face & skin.
Using professional grade materials, the workshop will introduce some easy & effective techniques before allowing participants to take free rein over their body paint creations. The best part is- there’s no pressure to make good art because it washes away later! And yes, of course there will be glitter- eco glitter!
Ruby is a theatre maker and face, body, & belly painter based on Binjareb country in Mandurah. Her arts practices all center around joy, vivacity, & chaotic good- any moment spent connecting to self, neighbours, and planet is the perfect artwork for Ruby. Her notable work is largely theatrical- her flagship project Bard in the Bush, has been a series of free, adapted, Shakespeare works developed as a space activation project for the beautiful Quarry Park amphitheatre in Mandurah. Her wish for you is to deviate from the norm and splash some rainbow on your face & soul!
