- ABOUT WILD WITHIN
Rooted in connection
Wild Within Co Ltd is an Australian not-for-profit organisation producing women-centred festivals, retreats and artistic, educational and cultural initiatives across Australia and internationally.
Founded in 2020 by Noriza Rohan Hult, Wild Within has grown from intimate grassroots beginnings into a nationally recognised presence known for immersive events that weave together music, storytelling, arts, motherhood, education and wellbeing in ways rarely seen within conventional event spaces.
From boutique retreats to large-scale festivals, Wild Within welcomes artists, facilitators, mothers, elders and women from many different backgrounds into thoughtfully curated environments designed to nourish, inspire and leave lasting impact long after the event itself.
Grounded in creativity, cultural richness and collective care, Wild Within offers women places to exhale, feel deeply welcomed and reconnect with what matters most.
Noriza Rohan Hult
Founder & Creative Director
Growing up in a small portside town in lutruwita/Tasmania, Noriza was raised between cultures by a Malaysian immigrant father and an Australian Palawa and Irish mother. Raised within a large family of eight children across two households, her early years were shaped by very humble beginnings, giving her an awareness of hardship and humanity, and an ability to connect with people from many different backgrounds and life experiences.
Becoming a single mother as a teenager profoundly changed the course of her life. Raising her daughter opened her heart in a way she had never experienced before and introduced her to a depth of unconditional love that would shape everything that followed. At the same time, she was navigating motherhood without the guidance, stability or sense of belonging she longed for.
During this chapter of her life, Noriza experienced debilitating mental health struggles whilst outwardly appearing highly capable and functional. Beneath the surface, she often felt deeply disconnected – from others, from any real sense of purpose and from who she truly was.
After a decade of treading water, meeting her husband and later welcoming their three youngest children into the world, life began to shift.
By slowing down, becoming more present with her family, pursuing creative ventures and choosing a different way of living, she slowly began rebuilding her inner world from a far more grounded and intentional place. Breathwork and meaningful friendships also became important threads throughout that chapter of her life.

She often reflected on how different those earlier years may have felt had there been people to lean on, conversations to have and environments where she felt safe to fully be herself. Those reflections became part of the foundation beneath the work she now leads.

In 2020, following a transformative personal turning point that seeded a strong vision, Noriza founded Wild Within. She built Wild Within entirely from the ground up with little more than heart, vision and determination – often investing every spare dollar her family had, and at times far more than that, into bringing to life the kinds of environments she once longed for herself.
In 2022, she founded Wild Village Festival – a sober women’s music, arts and wellness festival in regional Western Australia. Since its inception, the festival has become recognised for its unique blend of acclaimed music, artistic programming, creativity and collective care, drawing women together from across the country for a shared and deeply immersive experience.
As Wild Within continued to expand, the organisation was formally restructured into a NFP in 2025, with a long-term vision centred around accessibility, scholarship pathways and initiatives benefiting women and families.
Now based in Indonesia whilst remaining deeply connected to Australia, where she still spends much of her time, Noriza continues to curate immersive events for women. Alongside her husband, she is raising and worldschooling their three younger children with a strong emphasis on cultural immersion, curiosity and alternative ways of living and learning, whilst her eldest daughter now studies at university in Perth.
Our Philosophy
Across generations and cultures, women have gathered to share knowledge, create, grieve, celebrate, learn and mark life’s many transitions. Yet for many women today, opportunities for this kind of exchange and collective wisdom have become increasingly rare.
Wild Within exists to keep that tradition alive. We believe every woman brings something of value. A story. A perspective. A skill. An idea. Wisdom gathered through her own lived experience.
Our role is to create space for those contributions to be shared, recognised and celebrated. To foster environments where learning flows in many directions and where women of different ages, backgrounds and experiences can enrich one another’s lives.
As our community grows, so too does our understanding. We remain committed to listening, learning and evolving, allowing the women who walk alongside us to help shape what comes next.
Because the benefits of investing in women rarely stop with the woman herself. They ripple outward into families, communities and future generations.
