A gentle introduction to needle felting, inspired by the native flora of the South West. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will work with soft wool fibres in green and golden tones to create your own wattle-inspired wall hanging.
Let yourself soften as you slowly shape and layer fibres in a process that is both calming and creative. No experience is needed – just a willingness to slow down and enjoy the rhythm of making.
You will leave with a beautiful keepsake reflecting your time at Wild Village, and a gentle reminder of the creativity that unfolds when we give ourself space to pause.
Illona Buswell - Wild Solas
Illona is a South West-based fibre artist, who began needle felting as a Steiner mum and educator, creating a celebration crown for her son. Over the following three years, this naturally grew into her business, Wild Solas, where she now creates Waldorf-inspired crowns and keepsakes.
Grounded in a love of natural fibres and a deep appreciation for slow, creative practice. She believes in the importance of making space for creativity within the rhythm of motherhood and everyday life.
In her workshops, Illona invites others to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the meditative process of making.
